The Paramedicine Scenario Simulator Panorama or PSSPano is an interactive, portable, gamified tool for paramedics that need to review and practice their skills.
An initiative of eTV, Learning Technologies in conjunction with Paramedicine at Red River College- the Paramedicine Scenario Simulator concept began in 2012 as an online prototype, supported by the Program Innovation Fund.
In this mobile web sample are examples of the potential uses of a wireless, media rich tool that combines both learning principles and educational, game-based learning.
USES IN EDUCATIONBelow are suggested uses of the PSS Pano for Educational purposes
For Paramedics: To practice and review current skills using gamified scenarios; practice with simulated tools.
For Students: To gain awareness of the practices of PCP.
For instructors: To augment and enhance class content (Blended Learning).

Overview of Trauma scenario
Trauma Scenario- Alleyway bar incident is a basic scenario managing a single gunshot to the right leg, midshaft Fibula/Tibia.
The user will be expected to manage the wound appropriately at the Technician-Paramedic level with no transfer of function skills available for this scenario.
You have arrived at the address given to you by the DISPATCHER.
Apon arrival, you assess the situation.
To continue with the scene assessment, select

Decision 1: What do you do now?
Choice result 1:
It is inappropriate to have both medics ignore the patient, point deduction, and patients BP will decrease, and mental status will decrease.
Police inform you of a laceration to the patients back, mid clavicular 4th intercostal region. Scenario may otherwise continue.
Choice result 2:
This is the appropriate choice, full marks awarded with no change in patients vitals, Police inform you of a laceration to the patients back, mid clavicular 4th intercostal region.
Choice result 3:
While not per say incorrect, the user will now have to identify the laceration on their own via assessment. The scenario will continue normally with the addition of the wound reveal video should the user choose to do a full secondary.
